Jana Nayagan Box Office Collection continues to impress despite mixed reviews, with Thalapathy Vijay’s farewell film delivering a strong opening weekend at the global box office. The film has grossed an estimated Rs 171.84 crore worldwide in just three days, while its India net collection has reached Rs 92.35 crore.
The Jana Nayagan Box Office Collection began on a blockbuster note, earning Rs 42.70 crore net on Day 1, with the worldwide gross touching approximately Rs 78 crore. On Day 2, the film collected Rs 21.15 crore net in India, witnessing an expected 50.5% decline after its massive opening. However, it bounced back strongly on Day 3, adding Rs 28.50 crore net, reflecting a healthy 34.8% growth over the previous day.
After three days in theatres, the film’s India gross collection stands at Rs 108.93 crore, while the worldwide gross has climbed to an estimated Rs 171.84 crore. With strong support from Tamil Nadu and encouraging overseas performance, Jana Nayagan Box Office Collection is expected to continue growing over the coming days, with all eyes now on its weekday hold and long-term box office performance.

Jana Nayagan Box Office Collection remained strong on Sunday, with the film recording an impressive overall Tamil occupancy of 61.04%. Audience turnout increased steadily throughout the day, reflecting strong weekend momentum for Vijay’s farewell film.
The day began with 42.92% occupancy during the morning shows, which climbed to 59.31% in the afternoon. Evening shows registered an even better 67% occupancy, while night shows peaked at an excellent 74.92%, highlighting the film’s growing footfall as the day progressed.
Among the major centres, Chennai led the way with an outstanding 86.8% occupancy across 1,046 shows, making it the strongest-performing market. Bengaluru also posted a respectable 48.5% occupancy from 707 shows, contributing to the overall Jana Nayagan Box Office Collection.
Speaking about the audience response, director H. Vinoth shared his thoughts in an interview with Rangaraj Pandey. He said that Vijay’s films often receive mixed reactions during the first week but gradually gain appreciation over time. According to Vinoth, many of Vijay’s previous films have gone on to become widely loved months after their theatrical release.
